Saturday 23rd January
9:00 am – 1:00 pm | EyeCare Opticians, Commercial Arcade
We will be holding our first Drop-In morning on Saturday 23rd January, where islanders can pop in and get an initial assessment of your diabetic risk and learn more about what we do as a charity.
There will be a number of professionals and charity representatives at the event to greet anyone who pays a visit, including two nurses from the Diabetic Team who will be on hand to answer questions and carry out diabetes risk questionnaires. The questionnaire asks targeted questions to assess your risk level and whether you should see your GP for a more definitive test.
Our aim is to help support people and promote the ‘live well’ with diabetes message. We all have diabetes, and know how isolating it can be. We want you to know that you aren’t alone, so why not pop in for a chat on Saturday?
There will also be some delicious low carb biscuits available thanks to the Unikorn Low Carb bakery!
Our peer support coffee & chat events continue on the last Saturday of every month. We have moved them to Les Roquettes Hotel, 10.30-11.30AM.
Come along to meet like-minded people and talk about diabetes. All coffee mornings are for people with both T1D and T2D.
